Contestants will be competing for approximately $25,000 in cash, prizes, and awards. The 2008 “NORTH CAROLINA MAJESTIC QUEEN” (OVERALL STATE QUEEN) will receive a $20,000 SAVINGS BOND OR $10,000 CASH PRIZE; the choice is HERS. OUR PETITE OVERALL WINNER FROM THE 15 MONTHS TO 6 YEARS AGE DIVISIONS will receive a $4000 SAVINGS BOND OR $2,000 CASH PRIZE; the choice is HERS. ALL SEVEN OF THE STATE TITLE WINNERS will be awarded a $1000 SAVINGS BOND. In addition, other cash prizes, crowns and trophies will be awarded.

The Directors and Staff of the Little Miss North Carolina State Pageant are working extremely hard to bring to the girls of North Carolina a very special pageant; one you will enjoy participating in and would be honored to win. Eight outstanding young ladies will be chosen to represent our pageant and our beautiful state of North Carolina for the coming year. They must be beautiful, talented, intelligent, polished, and possess a sense of self-awareness. You certainly possess the fine qualities that will enable you to aspire to your dream of becoming one of the new North Carolina State Queens.

During their year of reign, our State Queens will be treated as Royalty. They will be given the opportunity to meet state and local dignitaries, make public appearances and entertain across the state, ride in parades, and be a very important part of next year's State Pageant.

We would like to personally assure you that each girl will be judged on her own merit. We feel every girl deserves to be judged honestly, given equal opportunity, and treated with respect and love. To insure impartial judging, we select judges from outside the state of North Carolina. Judges will be of highest integrity and qualifications.
